Jatinder has been running classes and freestyles at Club Chesterfield since March 2004. He has worked hard, alongside his dedicated and skilled staff team, to make Alive4Jive a fun Modern Jive night where people just love to dance.

1994 a turning point
|
Jatinder began learning Salsa in 1994. He then discovered “Ceroc French Jive” at Crookes Social Club in Sheffield in 1995. He fell in love with “French Jive” (which later became known as Modern Jive) and by 2001 he was fully trained as a dance Instructor for Blitz Modern Jive (check out their website).

Latino Influences
|
He has a keen love of Latin music and Latin dance. Jatinder has continued to develop his Salsa - most recently under the careful eye of Bill Newby (Steel City Salsa) and, in addition began learning Argentine Tango in November 2005. He likes to incorporate his Latino skills and techniques into his Modern Jive Lessons. He also enjoys running and hosting specialist Modern Jive workshops with a distinctly Latino feel. If you love Latin Music and Latin Dance then Alive4Jive is definitely the place for you.

If you are celebrating a special event, why not consider a disco with a difference. Jatinder offers: an individualised playlist; personal tuition; lessons geared to different skill levels; and very mobile disco equipment. He also has Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Personal Liability Insurance Certification for added peace of mind. And for work in schools, Jatinder has a DfES Teaching Qualification and a CRB certificate. (References available).

When he isn’t dancing
|
When Jatinder isn’t dancing, he works as an Educational Psychologist for Sheffield City Council - partly for a patch of schools in Sheffield and partly City-Wide for a Multi-Agency Mental Health Team for Looked After and Adopted Children.
